Can Advertising be Fun?

Check out the Hema Web site and wait a few seconds for the fun to begin. I heard about this via Freddy Nager's blog, Cool Rules Pronto. Nager is "Founder & Fusion Director" (Fusion Director?) of the creative strategy agency Atomic Tango.

Does this have anything whatsoever to do with weight loss? No. Still, cool is cool.

Getting Over Those Skinny Jeans

If you haven't yet heard the new CD, Skinny Songs I expect you will because it's taking the country by storm. The title song, Skinny Jeans is a hoot about longing for those jeans like an old lover. "I found you at the mall and had to have you... now some thing's come between us,"

Tunes range from country-ish to rap-ish. Wait till you hear "The Incredible Shrinking Woman." I loved that because it's my theme song (check my before/after weight loss photos from oh so long ago entitled The Incredible Shrinking Leotard page showing my poor old saggy leotard that took me from 218 to 140ish. Too funny.

You can hear some clips at Skinny Songs and this great article from USA Today about Heidi Roizen who conceived of the idea and then made it happen. That's inspirational in itself. I'm giving copies to my clients just to see them smile.

Belt That Works While Losing Weight

Gadgets, got to love them. The Invisibelt caught my eye. I tend to wear my tops out, rather than tucked in. When I was younger it was all about showing off those curves but now I'm all about comfort. When it comes to belts that can be a problem.

This design not only can be adjusted (like you'd adjust a bra strap) to accommodate smaller and smaller (even larger and larger but that's not our topic) but it's nearly flat, so no belt buckle lump to ruin your look.

Pickle Pops Pucker Up

I love snacking on pickles. They are great when you just can't stop thinking about eating something sweet because they turn your mouth off to the idea, but really, I just eat them because I like them. Imagine my surprise when searching for weird food ideas I came across Pickle Pops over at the Serious Eats blog. Seriously, these are frozen pickle juice pops! It doesn't get any weirder folks.

My son, Moses, used to drink pickle juice and I thought that was insane, so naturally I just ordered a case from PickleSickle.com. I'll let you know what I think; and I'll see if my preggers friend can confirm the weird food cravings thing too by actually trying them. This could be interesting. Stay tuned ...

Ew, new gross factoid: you can eat them frozen, or not! If you're just going to drink it, why not make them at home? So, despite that I'd never consider drinking pickle juice, I'm about to try it frozen. Go figure.
