Is Anything Safe to Eat? More Food Recalls

Today another "Health Alert" from The Emergency Email & Wireless Network this time about botulism. It is alarming to see the headlines, "Botulism Warning Expanded Additional Consumer Products & Pet Products." I fully expected it to be about China but for once it wasn't (big sigh of relief in China, eh?).

Unfortunately this recall comes from Castleberry Food Company of Augusta, Georgia and is nationwide so follow the link above to check if you've purchased any of the brands mentioned. Castleberry's should be given high praise for getting the word out quickly. Many products that should have been recalled are not.

Sadly, there's not a lot that can be done about this type of thing. Our food is so highly processed, and our meats so tainted there's no way the FDA or any other organization can possibly police it and ensure food safety. The only thing you can do is be careful, eat as much fresh food, you've preparePublish Postd yourself as possible and stay healthy.

How do you stay healthy?

  • By eating more wholesome nourishing meals
  • Nourish your soul and spirit.
  • Stay active, get out and play.
  • Find things you enjoy and spend more time doing them.
